About the Space
Start Small Studios is a recording and rehearsal space based in one of East London’s ever evolving warehouse conversions. Opened with the idea of bringing professional, high quality recordings to independent artists and labels, Start Small operates a modest but powerful collection of high-end analogue gear, boutique microphones and a generous backline of essential instruments; including a complete drum-kit and a Danemann upright piano. We can facilitate recording, mixing, production and writing sessions, and all of our sessions include an in-house engineer when required. We also have a network of musicians and producers who can help contribute to projects, so whatever level or scale, big or small, just get in touch - we’d love to hear from you! Reduced rehearsal rates, by-the-hour sessions and long-term lets are also available.

Space Rules
1. Please ensure that all equipment is handled only by a qualified professional. Any loss, damage or degradation of equipment or materials inside the studio will be the users responsibility to rectify. 2. No smoking inside the studio. E cigarettes are permitted downstairs.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
      SpaceCloud Cancellation & Refund PolicyGuest service fee refunds for all bookings follow this policy:
      1. If the hire fee is fully refunded, the guest service fee will also be fully refunded.
      2. If only partial hire fee is refunded, the guest service fee will not be refunded.
      3. If a booking is cancelled due to the host's fault, total payment will be refunded. In this case, the guest must not cancel the booking directly and request a cancellation from the host.
      4. SpaceCloud refund policy takes precedence over a host's refund policy under the conditions outlined below.
        5. An event starts more than 3 hours after payment
        1. → Full refund for cancellation made within 2 hours of payment
        2. e.g., An event starting at 19:00 is paid for at 15:00 → If a cancellation is made by 17:00, total payment will be refunded.
          An event starts within 3 hours of payment
        1. → Full refund for cancellation made within 15 minutes of payment
        2. e.g., An event starting at 19:00 is paid for at 17:00 → If a cancellation is made by 17:15, total payment will be refunded.
      6. A promo code that has been used may be re-issued only under the conditions set out below. Once re-issued, the new promo code will be available in the booking details screen after cancellation.
        7. Eligible for re-issue
        1. If the full payment amount is refunded and the promo code is still within its validity period at the time of cancellation.
        2. e.g., A promo code valid from 1–30 September is used for a booking that is fully refunded and cancelled on 29 September
        3. → the promo code will be re-issued with the same validity period (1–30 September).
          Not eligible for re-issue
        1. - If the promo code has already expired at the time of cancellation
        2. - If only a partial refund is issued
        3. - If the payment is non-refundable
Host's Cancellation & Refund Policy A host’s refund policy applies to the hire fee, while guest service fee refunds follow SpaceCloud’s policy.
  • No refund for cancellation made on the day of the event.
  • 50% refund for cancellation made between 1 and 6 days before the event.
  • Full refund for cancellation made at least 7 days before the event.
