  Up to 70 people. The largest space on the list and the one to book for a crewed shoot.

• Black Box Studio — King's Cross. £168 per hour, packages £840–£1,080.
  Up to 90 people. A blacked-out room rather than a white cove, for lighting you control completely.

Where London's photo studios are

Park Royal in west London holds three of the nine — the drive-in cove, the sound stage and the flexible room. The listings put them ten minutes' walk from North Acton on the Central line, with Park Royal on the Piccadilly line about twenty minutes away. The rest are spread east and south.

How to book a photo studio in London

How far ahead should you book?

For an hourly room, one to two weeks is usually enough. There is only one drive-in cove and one sound stage in London on SpaceCloud, so treat those as several weeks out, and longer through campaign season and the run-up to Christmas.

Do you get an instant confirmation?

It depends on the listing. Two of the nine confirm instantly; the other seven go to the host for approval, which usually means a reply within a day rather than an immediate booking.

What is the cancellation policy?

It is set per studio, not by SpaceCloud, and the two patterns differ sharply. Klatch Studio's four spaces offer a 100% refund with seven days' notice, 50% with four to five days' notice, and no refund within three days. Infinity Cove Studio in Greenwich is non-refundable at every notice period. The other four use SpaceCloud's flexible policy. Always open the listing's refund terms before you pay.
